Jonny Wilkinson's Toulon will open their 2009/10 Top 14 campaign with a home match against James Haskell's Stade Francais, in a game provisionally scheduled for August 15th.

Whether Wilkinson will be available for the season opener remains in the balance due to his inclusion in an England get together, scheduled for August 9-14, but Haskell will certainly be available to make his French debut - if selected.

Brive, who can count England internationals Riki Flutey, Andy Goode, Steve Thompson, Shaun Perry and Jamie Noon among their numbers, open their season with a home match against Montpellier.

Biarritz, who have recruited Leicester's Ayoola Erinle and Gloucester's Iain Balshaw, also have a home match, playing host to Castres on the Basque coast.

Elsewhere, Top 14 champions Perpignan begin their title defence with a home match against Bayonne, while the two promoted teams - SCA Albi and Racing-Metro 92 - come face to face in an early test of their survival credentials.

The frenchrugbyclub.com forum is now back up and running. Many apologies for our absence - this was due to a few technical issues - but hopefully that is all in the past now and you can get back to debating, discussing and generally having a good ol' chin wag.

Jason White's Clermont Auvergne - last year's beaten finalists - travel to Bourgoin, while Andrew Henderson's Montauban entertain French giants Stade Toulousain in a tough looking opening encounter.
